Positive version of Narcissu?
Actually it's completely different. And actually very deceiving, whereas Narcissu promised death to both main characters, hantsuki had a positive lure with the opening and ending sequence, when in fact it's just as depressing. Furthermore, every single character had some problem or another, some of them more spiteful than others. The series as a whole isn't quite lovable.
Though, not quite a 100% positive at the end, it is a pretty good ending with a great message. A half good ending, maybe. Plus the series is short enough, it's definitely worth watching at least once.
Based on the novel series of the same name. The novel tends to go into more random tangents, while the anime is more focused. But as expected, there are details that can only be read and not seen. Also, anime stopped at volume 5 of the novel. Those with more time will probably be more interested in the novel than the anime.
