Continuation of the previous season at glacial pace.

The second season is exactly what viewers asked for -- more Sword Art Online, regardless of how it will turn out. Well, the wishes have been granted. On the plus side, the anime is reasonably faithful to the original novel series, but the original novel series have been on a slow decline after the Aincrad arc, where the pace just kept on getting slower and slower. This slow pace is reflected in the anime. The anime is fairly well made and has some great moments, but mostly it's not for the impatient. I wondered if the anime creators intentionally spread out this series so that they can avoid including the next arc in the novel, which is even slower paced than everything before it.

The first season was a good place to stop, there really is no need to watch the second season.
