School saved by idols.

A very fluffy show about how a bunch of girls sought to bring publicity to their school by becoming idols, in order to boost attendance and to prevent the school from being closed down. The title "Love Live" refers to some idol competition that the characters did not participate in during this first season. It's fluffy and has lots of cute girls, and probably for that reason it was immensely popular. It might be worth watching this anime once just to see what the fuss is about, after which you might learn that it's not worth watching after all.
