Based on the manga of the same name, which in turn was based on the anonymous 2ch threads that gave birth to this story. The opening bit where Mao asked Yuusha to become her ally was the most interesting scene, and it sort of declined after this. In some ways, it feels like Spicy Wolf, having the same complexity but aims to do this at a larger scale involving world peace and all. In the same ways it was not quite as interesting for the casual viewer.
