"GJ bu" by Araki Shin. First volume in a series, although the rest of the volumes are in a similar flavor. This novel is advertised as a "4 koma novel" and described in the afterword as "something even more lightweight than light novels", and it totally live up to this promise. All chapters are concise and easy to read, with lots of illustrations. It's a great hybrid with the best of both manga and light novels. As long as you are not looking for a long continuous storyline, this series is well worth reading.
