"Hanachirusato", volume 8 of the "Hikaru ga Chikyuu ni Ita Koro" series by Nomura Mizuki. Our protagonist Koremitsu continued to expand his harem in this volume, managing to date a new heroine that didn't even talk to Hikaru previously. Swap the two names in the previous sentence and it could have been a reasonable summary for volume 1, but it is a totally accurate summary for volume 8. This was some amazing character development to behold.
In recent volumes I have been looking forward more to a happy ending for Koremitsu than a solution to Hikaru's murder. I hope the last two volumes will contain pleasant resolutions for both.
