"Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo!" (bless this wonderful world!) volume 7 by Akatsuki Natsume. This is the real ending to volume 3.

In volume 3, Dakness just left the party one day due to an arranged marriage, which was promptly dissolved and the adventures resume with the usual party members. There is a sense of deja vu in this volume as Dakness make another sudden departure, this time for marriage with the notorious lord. It seemed like recycled plot at first, but this volume actually follows up on many seeds that were planted earlier, including the real cost of all the damages done by the Destroyer in volume 2, the cryptic business proposal by Vanir in volume 3, and the lord's contract with the devil in volume 6. There is a surprising amount of economics going on in this series, and a lot of the debt are settled in this volume.

This volume also has the usual amount of action scenes. This time it's a Hydra that required many attempts, and finally defeated with a well-choreographed teamwork from multiple parties. Consistent with previous volumes, Kazuma died early on, but it was probably arranged this way to make Eris appear more often. Now that everyone has gotten used to Kazuma dying, and the ending of this volume hinted at a greater role for Eris, maybe Kazuma won't die as often in the future.

None of these economic or adventure bits really bothered me, the one detail that was lingering on my mind was this "dragon" egg that Aqua bought near the beginning of this volume. Clearly it was a scam and the egg was most definitely a regular chicken egg, but there was a mention of it every few pages to remind readers that Aqua has an egg. "Let's go home already! I have to wait for my egg to hatch!" Soon, the egg was pretty much all I cared about as well. It was a successful campaign.

This volume resolved many loose ends that I thought was already settled. Except Aqua's egg, which I am sure will be comically anti-climatic in the next volume.
