"Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo!" (bless this wonderful world!) volume 8 by Akatsuki Natsume. This volume is dedicated to Eris.

If this was a school life type of novel, this volume would be where they have the school festivals. Except it's in a fantasy world, with the followers of Eris and Aqua competing against each other, and Kazuma being the mastermind that organized it all. The festival activities were reasonably fun to read, but the real highlight was Kazuma's hidden agendas and attention to random bits of detail, all in the name of greater profit. Really, Kazuma should have been a merchant from the very beginning.

There was still the usual dose of adventures, including a quest to retrieve a humorously flawed piece of armor. Similar to volume 6, the reason to seek out these artefacts is because Eris was collecting them, and this seems to be a way to give Eris more appearance time without having to kill Kazuma that often. This plan was partially successful as we see more Eris in this volume than ever before, but Aqua still seem to always get the last laugh.

This might have been a novel series about defeating the demon lord and returning home, but nobody seem to be mind about that at this point. The triangle with Megumin and Dakness continues in the next volume.
