"Kino no Tabi 24" by Shigusawa Keiichi. It has been 5 years since the last one and 25 years since since the first one, it's still going strong.
The usual sarcastic view of the world is still alive and well in this volume, and it's a pleasure to read as always. But the real highlights of this volume are related to the 25 year anniversary, where a chapter subtitled "25 years" pays tribute to chapter 5 of volume 1 where Kino first started her journey. There is another chapter that takes places on a railroad ("Crossing") that is structured very much like the railroad story in chapter 3 of volume 1 ("On the Rails"). This is a volume that long time fans will definitely appreciate.
I am glad there is still life in "Kino no Tabi", despite the 5 year gap. Next year will mark the 10th year since Read Or Die #12, when will that series end?
